Absolutely Sinatra
Rick Sonata,
born to Italian parents, grew up listening to Sinatra. It's not just his stage
presence, his cocky swagger, the phrasing of his songs or his resemblance to
Sinatra ... Rick has vocal talent, a feel for the music and the personal
magnetism necessary for a headline performer. He has appeared on the nightclub
circuit for more than 19 years.
In 2003, Rick won “The
World Tribute Artist Championship” in
Fort Erie
,
Ontario
and thrilled to be the first to win this
championship. In 2001, “Legends in Concert” producer John Stuart saw a video
of Rick and promptly flew him to
Las Vegas
where he was hired as the Crooner for his
production in
Atlantic City
, Branson
Missouri
and
Myrtle Beach
, performing as Sinatra for 36 weeks. Rick’s
incredible talent has led to performances in
Canada
,
United States
, Italy Tour, Australia Tour.
Traveling throughout the
country and world with this 7-16 piece orchestra in such hot spots such as New
York Hotel Las Vegas Reno,
Atlantic City
, Crown Casino Melbourne, Sydney Australia, and
many cities in
Canada
. Rick has also headlined many corporate and
Fundraiser Events such as NHL Awards, Bombardier, The Keg Steakhouse,
Sick
Kids
Hospital
, Daffodil Ball, Humber River Regional Hospital
Foundation and many others bringing the Big band swing back to the days of the
Sands Hotel. When off stage Rick enjoys gourmet Italian cooking and spending
quality time with his wife and two beautiful daughters.
Recently, Rick has taken it one step forward SYMPHONY. Rick has performed
with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra at the
Kleinhans
Music Hall
, to a sold out audience to rave reviews from
the Buffalo News. In May, he performed with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra at
the Roy Thomson Hall to three standing ovations. Arranged in a 60 piece Symphony
orchestra, along with his conductor John E. Liddle they hired some of the best
arrangers, composers to write the scores for the show.
